Do I need to store my suitcase in a box?

Yes, we strongly recommend that you store your suitcase in a Kit keeper suitcase box. You can also buy your own from another supplier.
We recommend boxing suitcases for a number of reasons outlined below:
- Labels can easily fall off the suitcase material and can become lost during transit or storage. It is more difficult for the labels to come off a cardboard box.
- If we use a courier such as DPD or Parcel Force, they may reject the suitcase as it is not boxed. If they do transport the suitcase they manually handle the suitcase, taking it off the conveyor belt and processing it manually. Surcharges for this are then applied which are then charged back to the customer.
- When a non boxed suitcase is manually handled it may be separated from the other boxes or items and it can be delayed.
- The box mitigates the risk of damage such as to the wheels of the suitcase.
Kit Keeper does not cover any non boxed suitcases. Kit Keeper is not liable for any loss, damage, delays or courier surcharges for non boxed suitcases.
