Can I use my own boxes?

For our storage services, we highly recommend using our double walled Kit Keeper boxes which we will send to you as soon as you’ve placed the order.

You can use your own box, but we recommend double-walled cardboard boxes. Anything not in a Kit Keeper box means there is a greater risk of damage to the box in transit or storage and, therefore, we are not liable for any loss or damage to the contents of the box or the box itself if you provide your own box. We will not accept plastic boxes for storage.

For our shipping services, you can also order Kit Keeper boxes, but may also use your own. However, we do recommend that the boxes you use are double walled.

Your own boxes must also be no larger than 75x50x50cm and must not weigh more than 25kg when fully packed. They must be strong cardboard boxes and they must be securely sealed to survive the shipping process, we cannot accept any unboxed items. We do not cover your own boxes for loss or damage.

Please note that if you use your own boxes and they weigh more than 25kg per box, you may be charged a £60 fee + £1 for each additional kg over 25kg.
